12th PraxisForum Logistik by AXIT AG - Logistics Companies Have Trust in the Cloud

Logistics staff from well-known companies report on their experiences with cloud technology / workshop sequences give practical insight into the IT solution AX4.

Frankenthal, 07th February 2013 – Themed „Efficiency and Growth through IT“ this year’s Praxisforum by AXIT AG, taking place on March 14th, 2013 in Frankenthal, is all about the cloud.

In practical lectures leading logistics staff will report on how they use the cloud-based IT platform AX4 to optimize their supply chain. In subsequent workshop sequences the participants will be able to follow the configuration of the logistics solution in real time on screen and gather deepening information on cross-company management of IT processes using cloud solutions.

The annual PraxisForum Logistik is already taking place for the twelveth time. Again the Frankenthal-based company was able to attract well-known speakers who will present application examples for the manifold options for using cloud technology. Carsten Ehrig, managing partner of Fenthol&Sandtmann GmbH, will talk about Porsche’s high-frequency procurement logistics. The Hamburg-based logistics company was awarded „Best Supplier of Porsche AG 2012“ for its outstanding performance as a supplier. How project times can be reduced by integrating all parties involved in one platform and how to save cost at the same time will be told by Astrid Rooseboom of LEONI Bordnetz-Systeme GmbH. Jens Richter of DHL Freight focuses on the IT solution AX4 Open which allows the customer to design and manage their SCM workflows by themselves at a mouse-click.

Besides the presentations from practice the event is brought alive especially by dialogues. „We believe that excellent logistics management is not only due to smooth exchange of IT data. Personal exchange of experience is also highly relevant“, says Frauke Heistermann,member of AXIT’s management. In discussions with product developers and IT experts the participants will be able to bring up questions and suggestions on cloud computing and on AX4.
